World tour for Gulfstream’s new G500

Pending its forthcoming certification, the new Gulfstream G500 has taken off on a world tour visiting current and potential customers.

The ultra- long range, high- speed Luxury jet is due to visit major cities such as Beijing, Chicago, Moscow and Milan and is one of five test airplanes.

The new G500 cabin can be configured to seat up to 19 passengers, with a top speed of Mach 0.925. In- flight, pilots and passengers can avoid fatigue associated with high altitude flights due to advanced technologies which mean the cabin always remains below 4,850 feet but uses 100 percent fresh air which is refreshed every two minutes. The cabin is also quiet enough to allow for normal conversation.

Gulfstream President Mark Burns stated:
“It’s an ideal time for customers to explore an aircraft that is already noted for its large, wide cabin, outstanding performance and industry-leading technology. It also gives us an opportunity to thoroughly test and examine the fully outfitted interior as we prepare for the G500’s service entry.”

The five G500s are undergoing flight testing and certification is expected in the first quarter.

SaxonAir getting you airborne. Period.

January never seems to be a favourable month, so we’re doing all we can to ensure this isn’t so for our clients!

January 2018, Chinese year of the dog. So here at SaxonAir we’ve decided to assist our clients in never being the underdog with the introduction of our new AOG protection insurance.

So what are we offering you? AOG protect insurance is an insurance policy which provides indemnity covering part or all of the additional costs of a replacement aircraft in the event of;

  • Mechanical breakdown and non-fault accidents.
  • Mid-flight diversions due to a technical fault
  • Crew sickness (daily limit applies)

So in plane English (pun intended)… If you charter from us, and the aircraft you’re chartering is unable to fly due to any of the above reasons, we will arrange a replacement aircraft for you, at no extra charge with AOG protect insurance.

… Not everything that sounds too good to be true is.

Whilst aircraft in 2018 are technically advanced, safe and reliable, as with any form of transport, there are occasions where an unplanned fault or incident can affect your flight booking.

If the worst did happen, and your flight had to be cancelled, a replacement aircraft is not guaranteed and the cost of rearranging a new aircraft would fall upon the charterer.

AOG protect will provide coverage towards any additional costs incurred for a replacement aircraft.

… All the more reason to book with SaxonAir!

“Insurance is insurance, it’s only there to make a profit out of me” In most cases, we’d be inclined to agree, but in this instance the cost of insurance vs the chartered aircraft you stand to lose really is incomparable. You will receive cover for up to 50% of the cost of the full charter booking against any replacement aircraft.

And that’s not even the best bit…

Best endeavours are made to provide a replacement aircraft on a like for like basis. However, if there are not comparable aircraft you may receive an upgraded version.

… Don’t mind if I do!! … worth getting even if it’s just to gamble the free upgrade!!
